If you live on the Wirral, or have done so in the past, you may be interested in a local run website called Wikiwirral. The aim of the website is to server the people of Wirral and focus's on issues that affect local people as well as a place for friendly banter. It is based around a user forum and has a very welcoming and friendly community with a growing user base. I myself am a member and use it regularly under the username MattLFC.

BBC Liverpool
The BBC Liverpool website covers the entire Merseyside region, including Wirral and of course Liverpool. It is a service run by the BBC and in collaboration with BBC Radio Merseyside. It contains a wealth of information and features all relating to the local area, as well as constantly updated news and sport headline, alongside local weather forecast's and traffic info.

The Wirral Globe is one of the two local ad-supported newspapers, distributed to households and libraries across the Wirral every week. The Wirral Globe website features all the latest local news and sport headline's, as well as many other Wirral related features and article's. In many way's, I prefer the Wirral Globe website over the BBC Liverpool website listed above, as it's sole focus is on the stories that matter to the people of Wirral.
